The 2027 Ryder Cup takes place at Adare Manor in County Limerick, Ireland, from 13-19 September 2027, the historic centenary edition of golf’s greatest team event. Tens of thousands of fans from the United States, Canada and beyond are already planning the trip of a lifetime.
If you’re one of them, here’s the single smartest logistics decision you can make: don’t fly your clubs across the Atlantic. Hire them from Golf Hire Ireland instead.
Booking early matters. Ryder Cup week is the busiest week Irish golf has ever seen, and rental inventory is finite. Pre-book your set now, before we sell out for the week.
Quick Answer: Why Hire Clubs for the Ryder Cup 2027?
Hiring clubs from Golf Hire Ireland for the Ryder Cup 2027 at Adare Manor lets you:
- Skip airline oversized-baggage fees (typically $150–$300+ each way for golf bags)
- Avoid lost, delayed or damaged clubs during international transit
- Travel light and fit comfortably into compact Irish rental cars
- Play premium TaylorMade and PING equipment matched to Irish links conditions
- Get your clubs delivered anywhere in Ireland (hotel, rental home, or first tee)
- Rent for Ryder Cup week from £199, with easy pickup and drop-off
Golf Hire Ireland is a specialist, Ireland-based club rental service run by Pauric and his team, trusted by hundreds of international golfers.
The Real Cost and Hassle of Flying with Your Own Clubs
Flying into Shannon Airport or Dublin Airport during Ryder Cup week means checking an oversized bag alongside thousands of other golf travellers. That creates three concrete problems.
1. Baggage fees add up fast
Most airlines treat golf bags as oversized sports equipment, charging roughly $150–$300 each way, money spent before you’ve hit a single shot. Hire your clubs locally and that cost disappears entirely.
2. Lost or delayed clubs can ruin a bucket-list trip
International itineraries often involve connections and tight layovers. A misrouted bag isn’t just an inconvenience during Ryder Cup week. It can mean missing a tee time at a course you booked months in advance.
3. Big travel cases don’t fit Irish roads or cars
Ireland’s rural roads are narrow, and travellers typically choose compact European rental cars or private drivers. A group of two to four adults with luggage and full-size tour bags simply won’t fit comfortably. Leaving your clubs at home solves the space problem instantly.
Why Golf Hire Ireland Is the Right Choice for Ryder Cup Week
Nationwide delivery, anywhere in Ireland
Whether your base for the tournament is in Limerick, Killarney, Galway, or Dublin, Golf Hire Ireland delivers your clubs directly to your accommodation, rental house, or golf course, and collects them again when you’re finished. Many customers simply leave the clubs at their hotel on departure day.
“Pauric set up my wife and I with clubs. The clubs were delivered to the hotel we were staying at before we arrived… When we ended our trip, we just left the clubs at the hotel and they were picked up without issue. The whole process was stress free.”

You get near-new, brand-name clubs, not knockoffs. The current fleet includes some of the most popular sets in golf:

| TaylorMade Stealth (Right-Handed) | Distance and forgiveness |
| TaylorMade SIM2 Max (Right-Handed) | Game-improvement |
| TaylorMade Qi10 Irons (Right-Handed) | Latest-generation forgiveness |

“The clubs our six-man group chose were first-rate; virtually like new, with pristine golf bags! The clubs were TaylorMade and PINGs, among others. MUCH better than lugging our own!” (Sean Kelly, USA)

Equipment Built for Irish Links Conditions
Adare Manor and the great courses you’ll likely add to your trip (Ballybunion, Lahinch, Waterville, Rossapenna) play very differently from parkland courses back home. Firm turf and coastal wind demand versatile, modern gear.
Hiring locally means you arrive with equipment already suited to these conditions:
- Modern wedges (like the optional Titleist Vokey SM8) with the right bounce for firm turf, so you make clean contact instead of digging.
- Current-generation irons (Qi10, SIM2 Max) that hold their line in wind better than an outdated home set.
- The right set for your game: game-improvement, blades, senior, ladies or junior, rather than forcing one bag to suit everyone.
You’ll play your best without the stress of babysitting your own clubs across a two-week vacation.
